Our Ministries:

Christ Community is a very active church. Below are a few of the ministries we participate in.

Children

Sunday School: We have classes for all ages groups of kids at 9 a.m. on Sundays during the school year.

Sunday Nursery: We offer childcare for infants and toddlers during the worship service.

Camp Calvin: Each summer, participate in a camp for Jr High aged kids in Eastern WA.

Outreach

Community Garden: We have a community garden on our property where local neighbors can grow their own food.

Starbucks Food Ministry: We collect day old food items Monday, Wednesday and Friday and give them to people in need including a homeless shelter.

Faith Cafe: Once every 6 weeks we join a group of people and give a hot cooked meal at Bethel Church to a group of about 60 homeless folks

Men

Men’s Bible Study. We gather every Saturday and are currently studying R. C. Sproul’s presentation on “The Holiness of God .”

Fishing Contest: Each year ,we have the Guys vs. Gals fishing contest on the first Free Fishing Weekend at St. Louis Ponds

Small Group

Canby Bible Study: A group of adults study a book of the Bible on Wednesday nights during the school year.

Christmas

During the Christmas season, we do Christmas caroling in the neighborhood and a Live Nativity at the church.

Special Events

We do a variety of special activities each year. We have gone hiking and spelunking, had water balloon fights for the kids. We have also done a Sedar meal and BBQs, and small service projects like cleaning up a widow’s yard or preparing their garden.
